The Register will benefit inspectors, employers and the public
by:
Accrediting organizations that satisfy the requirements of the
Board the approval to organise and run playground inspector courses
for those people who wish to learn the necessary knowledge and
skills
The RPII board approving a syllabus and methodology for
delivering the course content
Ensuring adequate resources and finances to meet the above
aims
Ensuring candidates who wish to be included on the register
have a range of opportunities to demonstrate skills, knowledge and
competencies to the necessary standards
Promoting the existence and purpose of the register so
that play industry and play operators may be assured that
accredited inspectors have the necessary competencies
Ensuring registered inspectors have Continue Professional
Development (CPD) and keep update and abreast of changes
within the industry and safety requirements
Developing a code of conduct within which all registered
inspectors will operate
