Like last year’s free API seminars, this year’s will be packed at Leisure Industry Week (LIW), the UK’s biggest leisure attractions industry event. On 27 September at LIW the API will host informative seminars for indoor play operators and people planning to set up their own new centre. All will hear the latest industry news and information.

At 11am, Lesley Knight, API Chairwoman will welcome delegates and briefly overview the API, its work in the world of play and how new indoor play operators can best to choose suppliers. Then, at 11.20am, Mike Kaye of Disq will ensure his audience understands, “Effective Marketing and The Importance of Data Collection” and the impact they have on sales. He will review effectiveness of marketing methods.

Nick Balmforth, Register of Play Inspectors International (RPII) at 12 noon, asks, “Is Your Play Centre Safe?” He questions if operators’ safety systems and procedures are in place and being followed? He will show how to be sure of safety with his renowned excellent guidance.

Money Talks! At 12.40pm, moneyman, Mark Johnson of Johnson Reed helps operators, “Overcome financial challenges” His audience will hear how not to be one of the small business that fail within the first three years because of lack of cash flow. His news for operators is that, ‘Securing the right finance to start or expand a play centre might not be as difficult as you think!
